The biggest influence on Giedrius’ professional choice was made by his father, who worked as a jeweller. He completed Adult Art Course at the M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art, V. K. Jonynas Art Department, gained experience and skills from a jeweller teacher, as well as in various trainings and seminars. The artist has acquired considerable experience while working independently. Since 1993, G. Bocisas has been creating original jewellery; in 2000, he founded his jewellery studio, where he continues his work to this day. The artist annually participates in the Baltic jewellery exhibition “Amber Trip” in Vilnius, and in the republican competitive folk art exhibition “Gold Wreath” (Lith. “Aukso vainikas”). His organized educations introduce to the basics of jewellery, help to create small jewellery. The artist is the member of the Vilnius Community of the Lithuanian Folk Artists‘ Union.
