Artists' residence "ART COLLECTION" in Merkinė Culture Center

The ART COLLECTION Artists' Residence project is being implemented to promote
Creative cooperation of artists of Druskininkai Craft Center "Menų kalvė".
Developers from different fields were united by a common idea and a desire to share knowledge and experience. During the project two collections of clothes and accessories have been created.
The Basos kasas collection reveals the inner world of a woman and distinguishes her as a personality. Collections the woman lives in the rhythm of the city, but inside radiates the harmony of nature. Collections of clothing combinations of natural materials - linen, leather and porcelain lines, dominated by plants and motifs of forms found in nature.

The implementation of the collection "Children of the Full Moon" combines different fields of art:
painting on silk, jewelry and graphics. The authors challenge societal well-established designs norms. The collection seeks innovative solutions, changes the purpose of objects, metamorphoses, experiments by combining painting on silk with graphic prints and luxuries.
jewelry. The collection uses a canvas woven by weaver B. Kisielienė 60 years ago.

The created clothing and accessories collections "BASOS KASOS" and "PILNATIES VAIKAI" will be presented on October 23. 5:00 p.m. Merkinė Culture Center (Vilniaus St. 1). Performance of Kamila Antanevičiūtė, a participant of the musical project "Lithuanian Voice", in the presentation program. The exhibition is on display from October 5 to 23.
The event is organized in accordance with all Covid-19 recommendations.
