Druskininkai M.K. Čiurlionis Art School - 60!

Currently, there are departments of music, art and choreography. In the exhibition space of the Crafts Center “Menų kalvė” there is a joint exhibition of works by teachers and students of the Art Department. The curator of the exhibition is Onutė Zakarienė, a long-term art teacher of this school. The art department of the School of Art dates back to the 1980s, and looking back, it is extremely gratifying to see so many students and teachers who associate their activities with art. Many of them today are famous artists and art lovers. The participants of the exhibition are former and current art school art teachers and graduates, who continue to create in Lithuania and abroad. On the occasion of the school's anniversary, the idea arose to bring everyone together in a joint exhibition. The result is really impressive - the works in the exhibition seem to complement each other - the visual arts intertwine here and there and vice versa. From painting techniques - on canvas and on silk, the gaze shifts to sculptural and ceramic presentations, textures, glazes, art installations, and design elements, and slips through stained glass.
